Corona-Lockdown Diary

Date:17/04/2020
Lockdown was supposed to end on 14th Apr. But it was extended till 3rd May. There is no vaccine yet on corona. China has revised its Wuhan death count and it has increased by 50%.  I am doing work from home but no work yet. I am bit afraid that it might cost us a job. In USA almost 17million people are jobless. Spending my day practicing c# tutorial, reading diac-global source code, side project for the home library. Just finished Pride and Prejudice. I have been reading it for almost a year. Finally finished it. Planning to read Raja ShivChatrapati now. Corona has been causing havoc in New York.
22/04/2020
Yesterday Sachin had called. He is terminated from the job. I tried to call Pranav to enquire about the situation but he did not answer my call. I also get scared of this job situation. There is no vaccine yet for the virus. Days are spent reading .net framework msdn articles. Building has arranged DMart mobile shopping van downstairs. Clubhouse also arranges the grocery stores. TCS, CG has shipped their employees desktop to their employees's home. My understanding is that these employees wont loose their job:> Visa industry will struggle for a year, i think. USA has stopped immigrant visa since yesterday. I am repairing my Lenovo tab for last one month. First twenty days's time was most spent on tab.:<
23/04/2020
No train noise. Kokila singing. Aai/baba gavi aahet. I had ordered two boxes medicine from avinash and had tried to return one box. He did not accept the box and now it is very useful. Today two local trains were seen. There is one staff train run by railway. Clubhouse is arranging for the vegetable market. No hair cut so far. its been two and half month since the last hair cut. Whenever we go down, i am wearing the mask. Doing yoga at home. Using exercise equipment bought from Decathlon recently. Watched few movies on devdatta's amazon prime account.
30/04/2020
Yesterday i heard that Dreams mall third floor is being converted to the isolation center. I talked to Oasis and WOP stores staff. They told me that they have received any communication for closing the stores. But today there was a news on whatsapp group that oasis and aashapura are opening their business in clubhouse. Today is Sachin's last day at work. I talked to him yesterday.
So, what businesses will get affected by this virus pandemic? BTW, i was Domino delivery person yesterday on LBS. I think restaurants will have tough time attracting customers, Hair cutting salon will be more expensive, mutton which is being sold for 800rs kg will become 700rs kg, domestic travel industry will grow, international tourism will get expensive with less people traveling.
Garima is starting online kids activity class. Good effort. Aai says they found a positive case in ghodage jambhvda in sundhudurg but no news channel or radio  has that news. Yesterday irfan khan and today rishi kapoor died.
08/05/2020
Lockdown extended till 17th May, this is the third lockdown period. Still cases in maharashtra, mumbai increasing. My team mate sushant is released from the project. No salary yet which normally takes place on 6th of the month. Application monitoring work paused. In USA 33 millions file for the job loss benefits. China's export increased by 3.5%. I have to courier aai's medicine to gaon. Yesterday evening saw some labors walking in the track with their backpack towards Thane.
09/05/2020
Today afternoon, after lunch, i went to withdraw money and inquire about the parcel service in post office. Post office was closed early. While coming back home, i saw bhaiyas with there small bags walking on the road. Saw a family with a small kid in their hand. Bhaiyin was wearing a decent saree with a purse in her one hand. Morning, some bhaiyas were walking in the railway track. same again in the evening.
11/05/2020
I think this corona virus will affect lot of things in the future: movie theater,  restaurant, barber shop,
travelling,  train travel
02/06/2020
I lost my job. Received hr email on friday 29/05/2020 telling me that 29/june will be my last day at work. Lockdown is extended for the fifth time till 30th june, but with eased restrictions. Some of the shops are already open, traffic on the highway. It rained here today. Some Nisarga cyclone is near mumbai coast.
15/06/2020
Lockdown restrictions eased from 8th June. Shops have started. No barber shop open yet. Some restaurants have take out services. From today, suburban local train service for emergency staff started.
Rain has started from last two days.
22/08/2020
Partial lockdown still continues. No train service for general public. Ganeshotsav starts today.
14/10/2020
Partial lockdown still on. No local trains for common man, No gym, No temples started yet. I returned my company laptop yesterday. No updates or news about the vaccine status in media nowadays. Day before yesterday major electricity problem in city. Lights went out at @10:00 and came back at @12. Again power off from 13 to 2115. Some electricity grid issue. Two shops in clubhouse still operating. A new hospital started in mall.
19/07/21
Covid still not eliminated. I am not vaccinated yet either. Restrictions still in progress. Shops open till 4pm.
30/09/21
Lot of things happened since the last entry. I became a father in august. After out first followup visit with baby to the hospital we got infected with covid. symptoms were mild and home isolation was followed for fourteen days.

my invention idea...

Rice is an integral part of our lunch and dinner. While cooking it my mother uses the rice-cooker and one has to normally wait for 3 whistles to be completed. But the problem with my mother is she forgets the number of whistles that have been done by rice-cooker already.
Can it be invented, a new rice cooker which will have a counter which will indicate the number of whistles completed. For example we can have number of plastic-balls in one section which will pop out for every whistle.

IDea:
Whenever I set my mobile to 'silent' mode, I oftenforget to bring back to 'normal' profile.
Can we set a timer, which can remind me to whether i should undo 'silent mode'.

i thought its funny!

One day i went for a mobile recharge at Lalbaug. After the recharge was done, i asked the shop owner that I did not receive the text message alert. He said its not text message, you will get SMS.

One day I went to Vodafone ministore nearby my area. While recharge was being done, i received a call from my friend. After the call was done, i told the shop owner that i have not got any sms alert for the recharge. The shop owner told me that since i was talking on the phone while recharge was made, the sms might have failed to deliver.

In home-minister program, one of the young lady constable says..."sakali aamhi morning walkla jaycho..."

In india, men give their jeans for ironing to Bhaiya and that bhiya as applies his iron to make a plate in front of the jeans legs. "Ekdam kadak istri karke saamne plate leke aata hai"

My mami's village neighbour says that her nephews watch lot of tv and exhaust her tv recharge.

advanced Bharat!

Day before yesterday I got a business card of a 'boharin'. These guys live on the street but doing business by printing a card. Amazing. Enterprising.

I love my country but...

On 9th Apr i gave the driving test. While i was fastening my seat belt before starting the car my instructor, and other two instructor yelled at me not to fasten the seat belt since there is not enough time for all the candidates. And I did not fasten the seat belt. Now I regret that I should have not listened to them and follow the good practice. But this is how you pass driving test and get to drive on the road.

I live in a good residential colony where one can assume that the people here living must be educated.
One day I saw a car coming out of my complex and the lady sitting in the passenger sit was rolling down the window to throw the biscuit cover out of the window. She wanted her car clean and was ok will making the surrounding unclean. So, being educated and being cultured are two different things. An uneducated/gavathi person can be well cultured.
Well maintained building garden lawn is spoiled by such educated parents everyday in my building complex.

Government ads on radio has a funny voices; still can't understand why that particular lady talks in funny way.

why the indian housing complex ads/hospital ads/fitness clubs ads show foreign nationals on their ads./poster
